AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center is dedicated to providing patients and visitors with immediate, compassionate, and excellent medical care.

AHMC has a vibrant volunteer program with more than 100 volunteers.

These dedicated volunteers can be found serving in different areas of the medical center, interacting with a wide range of individuals from: healthcare professionals, administrative staff, visitors, and patients.

Children’s Health Orange County Hospital Volunteer Program

The volunteers at CHOC generously dedicate their time to help us provide the very best pediatric services in Orange County. For almost 50 years, the volunteer programs at CHOC and CHOC at Mission have provided vital assistance to all hospital departments.

CHOC assigns volunteer positions based on the current needs of the hospital along with the volunteer’s availability, interests and skill sets.

Currently, their highest needs are shifts scheduled Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Night and weekend positions are limited.

HOAG Hospital Volunteers

Hoag’s Volunteer Programs are currently on hold.

Outside of the pandemic, Hoag Hospital Adult Auxiliary looks for friendly, cheerful and caring volunteers to assist patients and visitors at their Newport Beach, Irvine and Huntington Beach campuses.

Kaiser Permanente Orange County Volunteers

The mission of the Volunteer Services Department is to provide quality support services to members, visitors, and staff in the Kaiser Permanente Orange County service area and local communities.

Volunteers include men and women 16 years of age and older. Many volunteers are Kaiser Permanente members, and all share a strong desire to help and a willingness to serve where they are most needed.

Volunteers are selected, placed, and trained based on their skills, abilities, and service orientation without regard for race, religion, national origin, color, ethnicity, gender, sexual preference or medical condition.


Long Beach Memorial Medical Center Volunteers

Volunteers are a vital part of Long Beach Medical Center care teams, providing compassionate services and support to patients, families, and staff.

There are over 600 volunteers throughout the hospital, assisting as guest greeters, escorts, messengers, cuddlers, etc.

Volunteer at Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach

There are many exciting volunteer opportunities at Miller Children’s & Women’s.

Volunteers can work in non-patient care or patient care areas with programs such as, the Grandparents’ Program, Pediatric Rehabilitation Program and the NICU Cuddler Program.

There also is a Volunteen Program, where high school students get the opportunity to volunteer and learn about working in a health care setting. The need for caring volunteers is endless.

UCI Health Volunteer Services

The diverse group of volunteers at UCI Health includes professionals, retirees and other community members, as well as college and high school students.

Adult volunteers are needed throughout the medical center, including the reception areas, the gift shop, cancer center and volunteer office.

College student volunteers work in several areas throughout the medical center, including dispatch, transport, nursing units and the emergency room.
